of these blessings today:
Familiar steps leading to my front door.
Little dogs who love to snuggle.
The smell of homemade laundry soap.
Pine trees and clear blue skies.
Solitude.
Bird nests collected from the woods.
A nubby blanket in the most delicious shade of blue.
A coffee mug from the wheel of a local potter.
How are you blessed on this beautiful day?
Thanks for this post today. It's good to start my morning off remembering the things we're grateful for.
ReplyDeleteThis morning, I'm grateful for:
- My big Starbucks mug
- Friendship with a woman I met here in Myanmar who helped ease my transition. Tomorrow, she moves, and I will miss her.
- The sun
- All of you fliers!
Love this post! I've been counting my blessings at night before I go to sleep. We've got so so much to be grateful for!
ReplyDeleteIt's so true that we have a lot to be grateful for. I think counting your blessings is a really wonderful way to end the day.
DeleteI love this post. It is how I am feeling this fall. It makes me want to to photograph the things that I am grateful for. Today it was a Starbucks muffin shared with my 3 year old granddaughter, watching the backside of her as she colored at my art table, the maple tree outside my window turning screaming red, and the sun coming in my window at a lower angle. I love fall!
ReplyDeleteA three year old grandaughter? You are a lucky lady! I can just picture the scene you described. It sounds like a perfectly lovely day.
