Words I Need to Hear

You know how sometimes you wake up and before you even open your eyes your thoughts start to spin and all the things you need/want/have to do that day start to vie for your attention and you can't focus on any one thing because every thing is speaking very loudly at once?  That's my day...right here, right now.

Please can I just pull the covers over my head?

Given my frame of mind I will keep my words few this morning, but I do want to share a few copper pieces I finished up yesterday.  (It was a non-thought-spinning, very productive day.)

One etched leaf was left from Monday's project and I think it looks quite happy on its own... sweet and simple.

I must have felt mental overload coming on as I worked because I kept stamping messages like...

and...

...words I need to hear today.  And if I need to hear them maybe someone else does, too.  A lot of my pieces include phrases I meditate on as I work.  Maybe yesterday I should have made a pendant that said, "Chill out!"

Thanks for stopping by.  I have to say, it has been absolutely wonderful to have so many of you check in from Art Every Day Month and The Little Bliss List.  Your comments and encouragement are so very much appreciated.  This blogging thing is really a lot of fun!

Have a beautiful, peaceful, productive day!

  3. Your copper pendants are really beautiful. I would have no idea of how to do this - I work in fabric - but I admire your artistry, particularly your leaf necklace!

  4. It's so great that you can come back to your beautiful art on a day like this and it helps you remember that all the spinning is just, well, spinning! And in the grand scheme of things you've gotten back in touch with what truly matters.

    1. Making art is great way to get centered, for sure. I do spin occasionally, but art is a great therapist!
