A Lovely Day

It is so great to see the sun peeking through the clouds after several days of dreary weather this week.  As a Texan I am very used to sunshine and more than a day or two of rainy weather really takes its toll on my mood.

I am using this lovely day to get my house in order and tie up a few loose ends.  (I just now finally put away the last of the Christmas decorations.)  Windows and doors are wide open, David Wilcox station is playing on Pandora radio...all in all it's a great day to recharge and appreciate this precious life of mine.

I just put the finishing touches on a few ATC's and wanted to share.  I kept these simple...just Micron pen and watercolor with a bit of white gel pen here and there.

I have to really concentrate on not overworking things so these little quote cards offer a good opportunity to practice stopping before things get muddy. 

I've always believed less is more when it comes to calligraphy and watercolor.
