To the Moon and Back

I've been busy setting up a store on the online marketplace, Art Fire.  I love it that they set aside a place for me to describe my inspiration for the pieces I offer for sale.  Here's one I wrote today:

"Love you to the moon and back" is one of my favorite expressions of love...mostly because it mentions the moon. I remember so many evenings in my childhood, looking at that magical glowing orb in the night sky...so mysterious and far away and yet so constant in its movement...so predictable in its travels. Shining full and bright or barely visible as a sliver, it was always right where it was supposed to be on any given night and that gave me a sort of peace and reassurance. It still does.

I have a long way to go before my new store is complete, but you can check out what I have so far at http://www.artfire.com/users/taprootstudio.   I hope you like what you see.

Also, I opened a Facebook business page for Taproot Studio a few weeks back.  Check it out at http://www.facebook.com/taprootstudio .

Good grief, there's a lot going on around here...

  1. Good grief, girl - you HAVE been busy!!! The new site looks great. I can't wait to peruse it more! All of your hard work is really paying off. I'm so proud of you!

  2. LOVE IT! and I'm going to join that facebook page today :)

Are you selling at CCF this month? I want Heath to buy me some Christmas/birthday presents :)

  3. Thanks, Gish. Having you for a sister is like having my own cheering section! You're the best.

  4. Hey, Alisa! I haven't committed to the CCF fair, but I was thinking of it. I'm getting ready for the Merchant's Open House in Lindale on Dec. 4 and, depending on how well prepared I am for that, I may see if they have space for me at CCF. Isn't it the weekend before? Are you going to be showing your art this year?

Your lovely comments make my day!
